Shenzhen Hongxiang Garden, a demostration project for reconstrution in Luohu district, Shenzhen possesses an ideal environment of enjoying the tranquility from the chaos. In order to avoid the interference brought by the business to the residential district, as well as to decrease the oppression feelings brought about by the high FAR, the ground floors are all established for commercial use, and the platform in the 2nd floor becomes the garden of the residence. A winding walking street is arranged in the east-west direction, on both sides of it are colonnades, an oval square is arranged in the center, by which the sense of place is enhanced , and the commercial atmosphere in this community is also enhanced. On the west side of the commercial square, an open swimming pool is established with the glass as its side wall, creating a sightseeing place. The club is arranged on the platform of the 2nd floor, directly facing the main entrance; while the ground floor is combined with the gardens to form tiered waterfalls and landscape, and thus the size of the club is reduced and a tridimensional effect of the garden appears.
