This project is located nearby the Guanyuan of Xicheng District, Beijing, and Guanyuan is a place called by Beijing people as “noble” place for a saying “Dongfuxigui” (east is rich and west is noble), the “gui” carries the special meaning held by certain people. Though participating in the project planning and positioning with the developers and seeking and accepting the local people’s value viewpoint and aesthetic taste, the designer, starting from the internal and external space of the building, creates a quiet residential area against the noisy background nearby the noisy 2nd ring road and financial street. The building is decorated with three colors of grey brick, under the atmosphere brought by the grey in whole, and through the variable balcony space for sight and the rich and delicate details design, a restrained, noble but not luxurious architectural style is created.
